Pictures

So when Chris asked me what I wanted for Christmas this year, I knew they thing I had loved most last year was having pictures taken of the girls. But I wasn't quite sure where that was going to fit in to the budget this year - so I thought that was the perfect thing to be my gift. Its amazing how much they change in just a year
This was one of my favorites Zach took last year

And here are a few of my favorite pictures from this year:

Maddie was being such a ham and loving every minute of it!

This one is my favorite of Miss Maddie:

Emalyn was being shy and took her a little while to warm up.

Merry Christmas!

Where have the Camps been?

You would think with the girls being in school more this year I would be more on top of updating the blog, however I seems equate to more time in the car and less time at home to get things done! Here's a quick rundown of what has been going on in the Camp household

Halloween
We went out to Brian and Sara's house the weekend before Halloween to see all of the Camp cousins.

And then Halloween Day, Maddie got out of school half day, so we were able to run by and
see G & Tommypop

and then stop by the Bomars, a sweet couple who goes to our church

And then walked down to our neighborhood Halloween Party
Emalyn & our next door neighbor Charles
We are so thankful that the Lee's have moved in next door to us!

Then it was time to start Trick or Treating!

Bebe and Honey came and found us as they trick or treating!

And Uncle Tee and Miss Caroline stopped by too!

The Mountains
The next weekend we went and met our 3 best couple friends from Atlanta in the North Georgia Mountains. This is the picture the dads texted us when the moms when out to breakfast. :)

The girls had so much fun playing together - and the Cahills just had another little girl last week - so the count is now up to 7 little girls!

And we roasted s'mores - the girls loved it!

 Birthdays
We have literally had 15 birthday parties from the end of October to the middle of November, which means I have been spending a lot of time in front of the monogramming machine. But it all has been really fun and a great way for me to continue to get to know the moms in Maddie's class better.

Our old next door neighbor Hayes had his party at Cowboy Town
In all of the birthday parties we have been to, this was our first one at Cowboy Town - the girls had so much fun!

Maddie got to feed the horse an apple (Emalyn would not dare!)

Maddie and some of her sweet friends from her class at one of the birthday parties!

Thanksgiving

Maddie and Charlotte at their Thanksgiving Feast

Maddie with her big buddy Elizabeth.

The kids table - Maddie made sure to bring her Mayflower centerpiece she made at school -she kept telling me Bebe asked her to bring it. So we walked down for Thanksgiving lunch with it in tow!

Loving on Bebe

Playdates
Miss Maddie had half days for parent teacher conference, so we were able to meet Sophie and Aida for a quick lunch and playing on the playground before we had to pick up Emalyn. They were our first playdate when we moved back to Nashville - the twins are 3 weeks younger than Maddie and moved to Nashville right about the same time that we did.

Whew! Finally finished this blog - I started several weeks ago and in the craziness have not had a chance to finish up!

Fall

Here's a peak into Fall at the Camp household

We started Ballet!
Emalyn was so excited that she was finally old enough to take ballet.
Maddie got to stay and help the teachers for Emalyn's first class.

Field Trip
Maddie's class had their first field trip to Percy Warner nature center. It would be a fun afternoon activity for anyone who hasn't been there.
They are in the middle of a Hummingbird project - where they band the legs of the hummingbirds. It was so interesting to watch!
Maddie and one of her sweet new friends on the nature walk.

Football Thursday and Fairytale Day
Emalyn's preschool has a day where everyone dresses up in their favorite team, and it happened to be on the same day as Maddie's fairytale dress up day.
I can't imagine anything more fun in their world - getting to dress up for school!

And this is what we saw as we walked into St. Georges that morning.....
James Franklin's, the VU football coach, little girl goes to St. Georges. So he had the cheerleaders and the football players come for the morning. Of course, it freaked Emalyn out!
I was hoping she would get in a picture with just the cheerleaders, but she was holding onto me for dear life. I picked her up that afternoon and asked her how her day was, and the first thing she said to me was I not like the pirate. I couldn't figure out what she was talking about. I asked her teacher and she started laughing and said most the children in her class were scared by the Commadore. :)

Birthday Parties
We celebrate Carrie's 3rd birthday - and Cinderella even made a special appearance!
My girls loved it!

We celebrated my grandmothers birthday.
They love helping blow out the candles.

Dear Dads Breakfast

School starts one hour late so that all the dads can take their children out to breakfast. This was the sweet picture Mrs Holladay took as Chris walked her in.

 JK Hoedown
Maddie's class had a hoe down for their fall party! I kept thinking as I went their all of their clothes for this fall I would find something she could wear with her jean skirt for the hoedown but no luck! So we had to get creative - I found this felt vest tutorial. It turned out really cute.

And it turned out Macie got out of school half day that day, so she came to the Hoe Down with me. Maddie was so excited that Macie was coming to her school!

But Emalyn overheard me telling Maddie and was most upset that she would not get to see Macie too.  So I picked her up from school early and took her to lunch with Macie and me.

Maddie last question to me that morning before she walked out the door was, "but I'll get more time with Macie, right?" :) They sure do love any time they get to spend with Macie.

St Paul
Even though Maddie is in school less days this year, her days are longer (7:55-3:00). We have been so blessed by her sweet teacher this year - she emails pictures of what they are doing throughout the day. I love having her hop in the car and already knowing some of what she had done throughout the day. So here is some of pictures from her days as a Junior Kindergartener.

Making teeth for "T" day

Ironing a grilled cheese for "I" day

Her 3rd grade buddy, Elizabeth.

Science Class - she loves the goggles!

 Acting out fairytales

She loves each and everyone day she spends there, and we start counting down the days on Friday until she goes back on Tuesday!
